Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP] or Retirement Fund (Incorporated) is a Pension Fund Institution established on 1 March 2007. As part of our expansion plans and new business model design, we are urgently looking for suitable candidates to fill in the following vacancy:

Assistant Vice President, Secretarial
Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:
-The incumbent will provide company secretarial services for full and timely compliance with all statutory requirements which include but not limited to preparing minutes, matters arising of the meetings as well as compiling and coordinating reports from relevant parties.
-Preparing the extracted minutes of the meeting for admissible purpose upon request.
-Arranging timely payment of the meeting allowances as well as preparing the Yearly Income Statement for the respective parties.
-Keep updated the Standard Operating Procedures for Secretarial Division.

Requirements:
-ICSA qualification with minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
-Candidate with Company Secretarial License from Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia will have added advantage.
-Conversant in Companies Act , Securities Commission Acts, requirements of Bank Negara Malaysia and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
-Strong command of spoken and written English
-Meticulous individual, with strong sense of responsibility, proactive and high initiative.
-A multi-tasker, with strong sense of urgency and committed in meeting deadlines.

Associate / Senior Associate, Corporate Finance

Responsibilities:

•     Develop financial model and assist in structuring corporate exercises involving financial, taxation and legal aspects
•     Assist in conducting analysis and provide recommendation pertaining to corporate exercises undertaken by KWAP and/or its investee companies
•     Assist in execution of all aspects of corporate finance activities, which may include amongst others performing industry or company specific due diligence, valuation and structuring of investment opportunities
•     Assist to undertake strategic review on specific industry or company

 Requirements:

•     Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Studies
•     Possess at least 2-3 years experience in executing Corporate Finance projects
•     Analytical with strong attention to detail and good problem solving skills
•     Good interpersonal and communication skills
•     Good command in written and spoken English

Jawatan Kosong Kumpulan Wang Persaraan Diperbadankan (KWAP)

Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan)(“KWAP”) or the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) was established on 1st March 2007 under the Retirement Fund Act 2007(Act 662) replacing the repealed Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454).The Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454) was enacted to assist the Federal Government in funding its pension liability. With the enactment of this Act, the Pensions Trust Fund was established on 1 June 1991 with a launching grant of RM500 million from the Federal Government. The Pensions Trust Fund was administered by the Pensions Trust Fund Council with the Accountant General of Malaysia being responsible for the day to day administration and management of the affairs of the Pensions Trust Fund. With the incorporation of KWAP, all powers, functions, activities, assets and liabilities of the Pensions Trust Fund were taken over in totality by KWAP.

1. Fund Manager

Responsibilities:
-Keep abreast with stocks, markets and economic developments
-Responsible for achieving target return for the assigned portfolio strategy which includes accessing the investment -variables, portfolio modeling, stock picking and projecting the portfolio’s yearly income
-Responsible for monitoring stock prices, portfolio valuation and income target on a periodical basis. Review and recommend the appropriate course of action with regards to these matters
-Execute trade orders and ensure the execution of orders in the best available terms, by matching the market conditions at the time of transactions and the kind of order size concerned
-Review the performance of portfolio as measured by each of the performance metrics on a periodical basis and ensure efforts are taken towards improving the performance against selected benchmarks

Requirements:
-Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Business Administration/Economics or related fields
-Possess strong analytical skills and mastery of qualitative and quantitative techniques of equity investment
-Ability to operate investment related system i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, Datastream
-Able to work under tight deadlines and fast-paced environment, independently or as a team member
-Good interpersonal and communication skills
-Eloquent in written and spoken English
-At least 5 years experience in managing equity funds with good track records
