Candidates for appointment should possess the following qualifications: -
(a) Malaysian
(b) Not less than 18 years on the closing date of the position
(c) (i)  Certificate in Bachelor of Engineering recognized by the government of
          local polytechnics or equivalent qualification
     (ii) a pass in Bahasa Malaysia / Malay (including pass Oral Examination) in the

Age on the Closing Date:
(i)   Candidate must not be less than 18 years on the closing date of the position.
(ii)  Officers in services must not be more than 50 Years.
(iii) Age requirement for promotion by appointment not exceeding 54 years on the  date of appointment.

Trial Period:
(i)  Candidates appointed directly are required to serve on probation for 1 to 3 years.
